No TV, but you'll tuck in & if you dare to peek into some of the diaries from ancestors of this home ... your surroundings will literally transport you to daily life as far back as 1821.

Priscilla is an amazing host & you would never know she had 3 dogs or 16 chicken's in the back yard. I loved the details; her endearing welcome, access to her library, family diaries and her. From her welcome to the time she spent discussing the history surrounding her and the town of Rye itself, was informative & witty and she left the lights on so I could find it again. Rye, NH has very few street lights.

The Laborious Journey of Gilgamesh

Gilgamesh has become a fairy tale of sorts of late; but he was a real man with real issues. The scene below was from Star Trek in 2009...

There is a place called Mesopotamia and it is the cradle of civilization. Albeit in modern times it has fallen to more threats from evil itself.  When you discover history you can see what's beginning to unravel faster. History has a way of repeating itself, but you wouldn't know it unless, you look back. It really is the only way to keep moving forward.  

The region of what is now Iraq, is the birthplace of writing and the city of Babylon.  The hanging gardens of Babylon is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world and it is the only one whose original location has not been established.  It doesn't mean it never existed, after all it has inspired so many more hanging gardens around the world since. 

There is an very long poem about a man named Gilgamesh, recounting his struggles as a reckless youth, his fear of death, and his quest for immortality. Men think living forever is 

A Mont to View

A new quest has started to unravel. It happen on the way to discovering a Fairy Tale Accessible Destination.  It was a slightly overcast day. Oddly one, that had sudden glimpses of bright skies that quietly; but most inexplicably got swallowed in the shadows.
  
And then it happened -unaccountably without warning even, on one of those roads. You know the ones that turn into a u-turn of sorts - this sort was called Blood Road. Which led to an hour search 

looking for an unnamed dog in a cemetery, a dog who like his owner was eventually found.  

I then literally and not figuratively traveled straight into purgatory, it was a bit of a risk and there were some obstacles; but honestly it was the only way to finish this story.  Who knew the views on the way would be absolutely stunning! I can't wait to share the whole story with "You". 

Together we just might find out what type of place inspired author Arnold Bennett  to state: "Of all the inhabitants of the inferno, none but Lucifer knows that hell is hell, and the secret function of purgatory is to make of heaven an effective reality."
