Lions and Ears and Eyes Oh My ...

"Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose."
Helen Keller

Helen Keller also once said “The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart”.  You, may find that this interview with the Nashua, NH Lions Club and it's international membership, may just be the worthy purpose you were looking for.  For these lions are not cowardly, they are endowed with the hearts that
Helen Keller knew existed.

New in the Classics

This interview is with members of the Nashua Chamber Orchestra
and
exemplifies what Max de Pree might have had in mind when he said:

"We need to give each other the space to grow, to be ourselves, to exercise our diversity. We need to give each other space so that we may both give and receive such beautiful things as ideas, openness, dignity, joy, healing, and inclusion."

New ideas, old ideas, the openness found in volunteers who gather together to create beautiful music adds dignity, joy, healing, and inclusion to the listener and player.

The American Cancer Society's Relay

Relay for Life is part of the American Cancer Society - this interview may remind us all of a quote by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe “The world is so empty if one thinks only of mountains, rivers & cities; but to know someone who thinks & feels with us, & who, though distant, is close to us in spirit, this makes the earth for us an inhabited garden.”

It’s just that type of spirit that moves a relay for life, the survivors and the family’s forward,
“Strength lies in differences, not in similarities” – Stephen R. Covey

Meet the Masons - Open House

Freemasonry "Making Good Men Better"

My interview with the Masons highlights in plain sight that the agenda of these men is simply to come together as a group of individuals that are inherently good; and by association work towards making each other better men.

These are men, that are excited about making the world a better place for our children, by supporting many causes in their community and world at large through Shriners Hospitals for Children and numerous other venues that impact children’s lives.

To get a better idea of what they are all about, the Nashua, NH Masons are opening their doors on 10/20/12 from 9 am to 3 pm at 196 Main St. Nashua, NH.  Stop by and ask more questions, the discoveries are the prize.

The NH Rainbow Girls ...

Stephanie Martson, the author of “The Magic of Encourage” describes Self-esteem, as “the real magic wand that can form a child’s future. A child’s self-esteem affects every area of her existence, from the friends she chooses, to how well she does academically in school, to what kind of job she gets, to even the person she chooses to marry.”

While I agree, I believe it applies to boys as well; however, this interview introduced to me young ladies from 7 to 20 years old, who have self-esteem, grace and a desire to give and do more.  I was truly impressed with each one of them and I am sure you will enjoy meeting them as much as I did.

These are the girls that are ready for life! Are you?
